Be sure to check out the new release from “The Black Keys” entitled ‘Attack and Release’. Just picked it up today and I got to tell you, it will make your ears happy. This duo knows how to put it down with some laid back jams. This is “Psychotic Girl”
The new Raconteurs album ‘Consolers of the Lonely’ is another worthy addition to your collection. Like Jack White or not, you can’t deny he knows how to make music. Bringing 70’s rock back. Here’s the title track
The new Death Cab for Cutie album ‘Narrow Stairs’ is a departure from their usual fare in favor of a darker tone. This is their first single “I will possess you heart”. I can’t get over the bass line.
I do apologize for the lack of any updates/real website. I’ve been taking care of some things on the design front and on that end, things are looking very very good. Can’t wait to get the next 3 printed. But the next thing on the agenda is getting a super sexy website up. This basic wordpress site just isn’t doing it for me. Any attempt I’ve made on my own has failed miserably. In the next few days, I’ll be on the look out for a web developer to get things legit. Take a gander at the STOREfor some goodness.
Here are a few websites that I waste most of my time on:
T-Critic - Sweet website to find out about new clothing companies, cool t-shirts and all things t-related. You can get Threadless coupons by doing stuff.
T-Shirtforums - Filled with info on starting a clothing company, marketing, shipping, packaging, etc.
Emptees - Awesome community of uber talented artists and designers. Some interesting characters over there.
Hollywoodtuna - Daily blog about celebs, chicks and what have you. Movie reviews by a super hot female
T-Nation - This time the “T” stand for testosterone. Site for bodybuilding, health, general fitness. No girls allowed.
Southpark Studios - The official website where you can catch all the episodes of the best show on tv
Project Playlist - Create your own play list. They’ve got most but not all the songs you’re looking for. You can make several play lists holding up to 100 songs each.
Here’s somebody my cousin turned me on to, Atmosphere. Apparently they’ve been around for a while, so I’m late. Slug, the mc, got some skills. You can find out more about them, and many other talented artists over at Rhymesayers.com
I ordered these a couple days ago off eastbay. Reminded me going into New York where you see about a million pigeons per square mile. They had two things going for them; looked good and on sale.
That’s right. Dwight Howard has overtaken Lebron James as the best young phenom in the league. He might not have as many commercials or endorsement deals. Hell, he doesn’t even have a casino in his basement. And all of that is just fine with Dwight. He just wants to be the best player in the NBA and an mvp candidate. He’s already one, and arguably both of these things right now leading the Orlando Magic to a 28-18 record good for third best in the Eastern conference. He’s having an amazing year averaging 22.0 ppg, 15.0 rpg, and 2.6 bpg. Oh, and did I mention that he is only 22 and yet to reach his prime??
Drafted out of high school in 2004, Dwight’s first season was solid (12.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 1.7 bpg) but found himself at times getting lost on defense and without a go-to move on offense. The last few years he has just relied on his athleticism, which he has plenty of. (see dunk contest)
Enter 2007. Howard now has a very effective hook shot and is a force with his back to the basket. Howard is a rebounding machine and it is not out of the realm of possibility that we are watching the emergence of the next Bill Russell. He may even end up being better than Bill Russell. Do yourself a favor; watch the next Magic game that is on TV and be a witness to a perrenial MVP candidate.
Shaquille O’neal’s best season - age 27 - : 29.7 ppg, 13.7 rpg, 3.0 bpg
Patrick Ewing’s best season - age 28 - : 28.6 ppg, 10.9 rpg, 4.0 bpg
Bill Russell’s best season - age 28 - 18.9 ppg, 23.6 rpg, (blocks weren’t recorded)
Dwight Howard’s 2007 season - age 22 - 22.0 ppg, 15.0 rpg, 2.6 bpg
